Academy 1

The A1 group is designed for novice age group swimmers who are at least 6 years old. The focus here is about learning to be part of a group, fun, and foundational skills such as streamline, kicking, and head and body position in the water. Highly active and engaged instruction covers all four strokes during the season, introducing basic drills, skills, and underwater streamline kicking.

A1 runs from October through May. There is a short break after their last winter meet before practice resumes in April, and then they are off for the summer. Swimmers are encouraged to participate with a summer club team and have fun!
Academy 2

A2 is for the emerging age group swimmer and will focus on proper technique of all four strokes, wall and underwater skills. Drills and skill progressions are broken down and taught methodically with consistent feedback to build the muscle memory and good habits. Swimmers are introduced to main sets and challenged appropriately with moderate endurance work as the season progresses, though the emphasis of every practice will be technique and skill development.

Exemplar 2

E2 is for motivated, goal-oriented swimmers focused on technical refinement, physical conditioning, and sharpening skills and race plans. Training features IM-based aerobic and anaerobic workouts, lactate tolerance, and preparing to compete in all strokes and distances. A heavy emphasis is placed on stroke efficiency, underwaters, and dryland training. Prior competitive team experience is recommended.

Exemplar 1

E1 is for competitive age group swimmers to continue technical development, underwater kicking, and aerobic conditioning with more advanced drills and training concepts. Overall yardage and challenge increases, however instruction remains intent on getting better first, then faster. Swimmers will learn about race-planning, and should compete all strokes and appropriate distances. Prior competitive team experience is recommended.

Senior

The Senior program is for 15 and over swimmers and emphasizes technical refinement and physical conditioning. Workouts will blend power, speed, endurance, underwater work, and dryland training. The training plan is tentatively paired with Exemplar 2, however adjustments will be implemented depending on the size and experience of the group.
Swimmers with high school experience who want to take the next step are encouraged to come out for this group.
